Gran Canaria has five Michelin-starred restaurants, each with one star: two in Mogán, close to the beach, and three in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. This is the current Michelin Guide list, checked restaurant by restaurant, with what each tasting menu costs, which days they open, how to book and how long it takes to get there if you are staying in the south of the island.

Michelin Guide Spain 2026 list, announced on 25 November 2025. It stays valid until the gala on 1 December 2026 in Huesca, where the 2027 stars will be revealed. We will update this page that same night.

The list: Michelin-starred restaurants in Gran Canaria in 2026

In the 2026 edition of the guide, Gran Canaria kept all five of its stars and gained no new ones. Both new stars in the Canary Islands that year went to Tenerife: El Taller Seve Díaz in Puerto de la Cruz and Haydée by Víctor Suárez in Adeje. No restaurant on the island holds two or three stars.

These are the five, exactly as they appear on guide.michelin.com today:

  • La Aquarela, in Patalavaca (Mogán). Creative cuisine.
  • Los Guayres, in Puerto de Mogán, inside the Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa. Regional and creative cuisine.
  • Poemas by Hermanos Padrón, at the Santa Catalina hotel in Las Palmas. Creative cuisine.
  • Muxgo, at the same Santa Catalina hotel. Creative cuisine.
  • Tabaiba, by Las Canteras beach in Las Palmas. Creative cuisine.

All five sit in the guide’s top price bracket and all are built around a tasting menu. What really separates them for a visitor is location: if you are based in the south-west, two are less than twenty minutes away and the other three are a good hour up the motorway.

The two Michelin-starred restaurants in Mogán

Apart from the capital, Mogán is the only municipality on the island with a Michelin star, and it has two. If you are spending your holiday in Puerto Rico, Arguineguín or Puerto de Mogán, these are the easiest way to have a starred dinner without crossing half the island at night.

La Aquarela (Patalavaca)

It is tucked inside an apartment complex in Patalavaca, on the Barranco de la Verga between Arguineguín and Anfi del Mar, and the guide itself counts it among the area’s leading dining addresses. It holds 1 Michelin star and 2 Repsol Suns.

A new chapter began in May 2026: Desiré Cabrera is now head chef, after more than a decade in this same kitchen and spells at places such as Tickets and Andrew Fairlie in Scotland (Canarias7, 2 May 2026). Germán Ortega, the chef who won the star, has been running Bevir by Lopesan since June.

Menus, according to the official website:

  • Experience: 158 €. 10-glass wine pairing, 110 €.
  • Little Experience: 128 €. 6-glass pairing, 63 €.
  • Harvest (Tierra on the Spanish menu), a vegetarian tasting menu: 130 €. 10-glass pairing, 110 €.

Allow around three hours, and the menu is served to the whole table. It opens Tuesday to Saturday from 19:00 and closes on Sundays and Mondays. Book on its website (powered by TheFork) or on +34 928 735 891. Children are welcome from age 8, the dress code is smart casual and cancellations need 48 hours’ notice. With the current menu they cannot cater for vegan or dairy-free diets.

If you are staying nearby, our Arguineguín guide covers the fishing town next door by day, and the Anfi del Mar guide the beach just along the coast.

Los Guayres (Puerto de Mogán)

It sits inside the Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa, at the entrance to Puerto de Mogán, and its name comes from an old Guanche term. Michelin describes it as an oasis of elegance and exoticism at the end of the arid Mogán valley. It has held 1 Michelin star since the 2020 guide and 1 Repsol Sun.

The chef is Ruyman González, who took over from Alexis Álvarez at the end of 2024, according to the Cordial hotel group. His cooking reworks traditional Canarian recipes with island produce.

Menus, according to the official website:

  • Tasting Menu: 130 €. 6-glass pairing, 65 €.
  • Classic Tasting Menu: 140 €. 7-glass pairing, 75 €.
  • Grand Tasting Menu: 150 €. 8-glass pairing, 85 €.

Dinner only, Tuesday to Saturday, with arrivals between 18:30 and 20:00 according to its website, and last orders for the Grand Tasting Menu at 19:30. The dining room is small: Cordial mentions a maximum of 20 guests a day. Book at losguayres.com (also via TheFork) or on +34 928 724 100.

Worth knowing before you go: children from age 9, groups of 6 at most, smart casual with long trousers for men, and the menu cannot be adapted for vegetarians or vegans. It closes from 7 to 13 December 2026 for its annual holiday.

Michelin-starred restaurants in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

The other three are in the capital, and two of them share an address: the Santa Catalina, a Royal Hideaway Hotel, the historic hotel in Doramas Park. Spend one night in Las Palmas and all three stars are within six minutes’ drive of each other.

Poemas by Hermanos Padrón

The fine-dining restaurant of the Santa Catalina hotel, advised by the brothers Juan Carlos and Jonathan Padrón. Michelin praises the dining room, the service and the food, and the Repsol Guide has given it 2 Suns since 2025.

Its official menu lists two options: the Poemas Tasting Menu at 160 € and the Classics Menu at 115 €, drinks extra. Wine pairings range from 80 to 130 €. It opens Tuesday to Saturday for dinner and asks for advance online booking (contact phone +34 928 243 041).

Muxgo

Chef Borja Marrero‘s restaurant, in the same hotel. Michelin calls it an ode to ecology and sustainability: much of the produce comes from the chef’s own farm in Tejeda, and the menus are named after places in the island’s high peaks. It also holds 1 Repsol Sun.

From its October 2026 menu:

  • Bentayga, bajo tierra: 130 €. Armonía pairing, 70 €.
  • Lo más profundo de Tejeda: 145 €. Armonía pairing, 85 €.

Both come in a vegetarian version at the same price. Its website also lists a third menu, Tunera, built entirely around the prickly pear: 75 € with a 52 € pairing, IGIC included according to the English menu from March 2026, and it must be booked at least 48 hours ahead. Ask whether it is being served on your date.

It is one of the few that also opens at lunchtime: from October to May it serves lunch and dinner Wednesday to Saturday and lunch on Sunday, but hours change by season, so check muxgo.es. Booking is online with a card, or on +34 828 150 028.

Tabaiba

A few steps from Las Canteras beach, on Calle Portugal. It is named after a native plant and Michelin calls it a real revelation, with a Canarian cuisine of its own. The chef is Abraham Ortega, and the Repsol Guide gives it 1 Sun.

Prices: what a Michelin-starred tasting menu costs

All prices are per person, taken from the official websites on 2 November 2026. They change every season, so the figure that counts is always the one on the restaurant’s website on the day you book.

Restaurant Where Menus (no drinks) Pairing Open
La Aquarela Patalavaca, Mogán 128 / 130 / 158 € 63-110 € Tue-Sat, dinner
Los Guayres Puerto de Mogán 130 / 140 / 150 € 65-85 € Tue-Sat, dinner
Poemas Las Palmas 115 / 160 € 80-130 € Tue-Sat, dinner
Muxgo Las Palmas 75 / 130 / 145 € 52-85 € Wed-Sat, lunch and dinner; Sun, lunch
Tabaiba Las Palmas 130 / 150 € 80-100 € Wed-Sat, lunch and dinner

With wine pairing, dinner for two on the full tasting menus comes to roughly 380 to 580 € using the official figures (around 250 € with Muxgo’s Tunera menu), before water, coffee or extras such as the cheese board.

Bib Gourmand, Green Star and other recommendations

El Equilibrista 33: the island’s Bib Gourmand

The Bib Gourmand rewards good cooking at moderate prices, and in Gran Canaria only one restaurant holds it: El Equilibrista 33, on Calle Ingeniero Salinas in Las Palmas, near Las Alcaravaneras beach. Chef-owner Carmelo Florido cooks market-driven Canarian food.

There is a 90 € tasting menu that changes every week, and an à la carte menu with mains from 19.50 to 30 €. It opens Thursday to Saturday for lunch and dinner, and Sunday for lunch.

Muxgo’s Green Star

Muxgo was the first Green Star in the Canary Islands, Michelin’s award for sustainable gastronomy. In May 2026 Michelin announced that it will stop publishing the Green Star and replace it with a programme called Mindful Voices, which includes Borja Marrero (elDiario.es, 1 October 2026). That is why we do not count it as a separate distinction going into 2027.

Bevir by Lopesan, Meloneras

It is inside the Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort, half an hour from Puerto de Mogán. The Michelin Guide lists it as a recommended restaurant, without a star, and since June 2026 it has been led by Germán Ortega, the chef who took La Aquarela to its star. It offers three menus (Amurga, Temisas and Ansite); we have not found published prices.

The two in Mogán are easy: from Puerto Rico, La Aquarela is about 4 km away, and Los Guayres is a short walk from the centre of Puerto de Mogán. If you are having the wine pairing, the sensible choice is a taxi: the ride is short, twenty minutes at most from anywhere on the Mogán coast.

The three in Las Palmas are a different matter. It is a good hour each way on the GC-1, and dinner finishes late. Global’s bus line 91 links Puerto de Mogán with Las Palmas, but check the timetable on guaguasglobal.com before counting on it for the return. The easiest option is to stay the night in the capital, or book lunch at Muxgo or Tabaiba, which both open at midday.

If you do stay over, make a day of it: the Los Lirios winery, in the Bandama area near Las Palmas, runs guided visits with tastings.

Booking tips

1. Book weeks ahead. These are small dining rooms (Los Guayres mentions 20 guests a day) that open four or five days a week. At Christmas and Easter, even more so.

2. Check closing days before planning. La Aquarela, Los Guayres and Poemas close on Sundays and Mondays; Muxgo closes on Mondays and Tuesdays, and Tabaiba from Sunday to Tuesday. If your only free evening is a Monday, there is no starred dinner on the island that night.

Muxgo: October to May hours; they change with the season, so check muxgo.es. Los Guayres closes from 7 to 13 December 2026.

3. Mention allergies when booking. Several cannot adapt their menus: La Aquarela does not cater for vegan or dairy-free diets, Los Guayres cannot adapt for vegetarians and Tabaiba cannot cover lactose allergies or fish and seafood restrictions. Muxgo and La Aquarela have a vegetarian menu.

4. Watch the cancellation policy. 48 hours at La Aquarela and 72 at Tabaiba. Muxgo takes a card when you book.

5. Children and dress code. La Aquarela welcomes children from 8 and Los Guayres from 9. Tabaiba says it is not the best place for children under 10. Smart casual in Mogán; Muxgo asks for formal dress and Tabaiba has no dress code.

A starred dinner in Mogán

  • Less than 20 minutes from almost any hotel in the south-west
  • A short taxi home, not an hour on the road at night
  • Two different styles: creative cooking at La Aquarela, Canarian recipes at Los Guayres

A starred dinner in Las Palmas

  • A good hour by car each way from the south
  • With wine pairing you need a long taxi ride or a night there
  • On the plus side, Muxgo and Tabaiba also open for lunch

What could happen at the 2027 Michelin Guide gala

The gala for the Michelin Guide Spain and Andorra 2027 will be held on 1 December 2026 at the Palacio de Congresos in Huesca. It was planned for 24 November and moved back a week because of the general election on 29 November (Infobae/EFE and COPE, 20 October 2026).

Every star is decided again that night. For Gran Canaria there are three possible outcomes, and none is a given:

  • All five keep their star, as happened in the 2026 guide.
  • One goes up or down: stars are reviewed every year and can be gained or lost.
  • A new restaurant on the island joins the starred list or the Bib Gourmand list.

What we do know is that the Green Star will no longer appear in the new lists. As soon as the selection is published, we will update this page with the names.
