Mogán Mall is open as normal and steps up security after the Halloween call on social media
· Martín Paz, HeyMogan
Following the messages circulating on social media and in the press about a Halloween call-out at Mogán Mall, and the questions many of you have sent us, HeyMogan spoke directly to the shopping centre's management. This is what they told us.
What the management told us
- The shopping centre is operating completely as normal.
- Private security at the centre has been stepped up.
- According to investigations by the police and security forces, incidents like those seen recently in large cities in Catalonia are quite unlikely here.
- The centre has coordinated with Mogán Town Council and the police and security forces, who have organised a large police deployment, with officers present even inside the shopping centre.
Safety comes first
For Mogán Mall, the safety of its visitors and tenants comes first. That is why they have treated this call-out as if it were a real threat, even knowing it is unlikely. It shows their commitment and how they respond to difficult situations or emergencies.
Our message: stay calm
At HeyMogan we are asking everyone to stay calm. Carry on as normal and enjoy your holiday with peace of mind, trusting in the good work of the shopping centre, Mogán Local Police and the Guardia Civil.
If you are going to Mogán Mall
- Usual opening hours: every day from 10 am to 10 pm.
- Shops, restaurants and services are open as on any other day.
- You will see more security staff and police officers: this is part of the preventive operation.
Background: the call-out spread on social media and was reported by outlets such as La Provincia (Spanish).
