I went on vacation for 9 days with my daughter to an apartment near Amadores beach. On the first day, early in the morning, we got a fine where there are no signs prohibiting parking, no access restrictions, or anything indicating that we couldn't park; in fact, it was all full except for a spot we used. I called the municipal police to explain the reason for the fine, and they gave me ridiculous excuses and didn't know how to tell me it was because there was a lowered area and the marked parking zone on the ground could only be used with a license. We were the only ones fined; the other vehicles had no fines... maybe because they were rentals?? And hitting visitors with fines? The way they handled it wasn't very correct, and the guy hung up on me because he couldn't give me a convincing reason. Even when I told him there was no access restriction, he replied that the access restriction is when you can park... 😄 I couldn't believe the nonsense he was saying. Anyway, I hope they get their act together and properly mark the areas they say are subject to fines.

The state of the palm trees at the entrance of Arguineguín is lamentable. The dry leaves hang without maintenance, with a real risk of falling on pedestrians. Besides being dangerous, it gives a neglected and very unattractive image at the entrance of the town. The Mogán City Council should urgently take charge of this situation for public safety and for the appearance it offers to residents and visitors.
