Apartamentos Buenavista

The worst experience I've had in an apartment so far. We arrived and they didn't ask for any identification (to avoid declaring to the tax office, I suppose). Upon entering, the beds and curtains were dirty and broken, the floor wasn't swept (there are pills and food scraps from the previous guest, as seen in the photo), the armchairs, which once were white, are yellow, and the terrace door was open when we arrived (who knows who was there). The entrance door only has a latch, so if you don't turn the key twice, anyone can come in, and they have strong chemicals against cockroaches and ants next to the glasses that customers drink from (also seen in the photo). The shower was full of hair, as you can see, and the pool was cloudy because it doesn't get closed for cleaning with chlorine. It's a breeding ground for infections. Finally, the entrance door to the premises is left open at dawn, so anyone outside the building can enter.

Sixties apartments, old but clean. Mine was on the ground floor (next to the pool) and had two rooms (one with two twin beds and another with bunk beds), a full bathroom, a living room kitchen, and a terrace. The towels and sheets were very clean, as was the kitchen area (induction). The pool was also clean and the water was at a good temperature. The mattresses and pillows were very worn out, so they aren't comfortable. The location, like almost all apartments in Puerto Rico, is very high, with many stairs to get to the beach.
